Welcome to Riverbank
Riverbank Nursery is a privately-owned day nursery in the heart of Ayr which has been established since 1989 and aims to provide the highest standard of care for children aged from 3 months to 10 years old. We are open from 8am till 6pm Monday to Friday, 50 weeks of the year.
We are also in partnership with the local authority. This means that although we are a private nursery, we can provide funded early learning and childcare on a full year or term time basis to eligible children.
The Nursery
The Nursery building is set over two floors and is comprised of eight spacious rooms which accommodate children from 3months to 10 years.
The ground floor accommodates our office, Bluebells, Buttercups, Daises and Juniors along with toilets and kitchen. The upper floor plays host to our Juniors and Seniors along with more toilets and our staffroom. Our outdoor space within the nursery grounds promotes investigation and exploration through climbing, planting, cooking, digging, building and ‘skiddling’…
Outwith the nursery our children also utilise the grounds of St John’s Tower and the Fort Tennis Courts which are both only a few minutes’ walk from the nursery. As we have a central location, we benefit from walks to explore our local environment including the beach, river, train station and many more on a regular basis.
Security
For parents’ peace of mind on their child’s safety, we have a buzzer door entry system and internal live stream for office viewing. The parent/carer or emergency contact must collect the child from nursery. If someone other than the parent/carer or emergency contact is to collect the child, the nursery must be informed in advance, that appointed person will then be required to provide a password on arrival.
